Sage Donor Gives $10 Million

Dean Quigley a Leader in Literacy and Native American Education

Lori V. Quigley, Ph.D. joined Sage as dean of the School of Education in 2010. A literacy specialist, she holds occasional reading sessions in area schools and advocates on a state and national level for Native American education initiatives.

After School Programs Give Children a Boost

The School of Education has established several outreach programs with area schools. The Help Yourself Academy brings minority and at-risk students in grades 3-8 from the Troy school district to engage in science and math.

The doctoral program in Educational Leadership, now in its fifth group of candidates, is a cohort-based model that attracts many of the region's school building and district leaders. Candidates present team research each fall and individual dissertations each spring on problems of practice.
